It seems like an absolute age since my last venture in the kitchen, but I was delighted when Saturday rolled around. For this turn I decided to make the meal a tribute to my favourite of all the complex carbohydrates; pasta, and because I’m won’t be donning a bikini this year why not?

Leeds Indie Food Festival is almost upon us, and I thought I would share a little about it as well as my thoughts ahead of this two week extravaganza.
Nation of Shopkeepers has long since been a Leeds favourite of mine. A convenient spot for a study snack, then a good excuse to escape the office at lunch. After a little time away for a revamp, a new look Nations opened last week, and I couldn’t wait to step though the doors and check it out for myself!
One of the things we’re constantly told in life, among many, many others is that we should never skip breakfast. Heeding that advice, well, sort of, I visited the Alchemist for brunch.
A little while ago I met up with some friends for nothing more than a good old catch up. One of the group suggested the venue should be Bundobust, an Indian street food and craft beer eatery, nestled down one of Leeds’ side streets. I originally had a table for four arranged in for a box standard Italian chain, and never have I been so glad I cancelled a booking.
