Five #LIF18 events that haven’t sold out (yet)

LIF Norse: The Spa ExchangeLeeds Indie Food 2018 is two weeks to eat, drink and do. Returning for it’s fourth year and running from May 10th to 28th, LIF is a citywide celebration of some of the best food and drink on offer in Leeds. I’ve got my tickets booked for events across the festival, but I thought I would share some of the ones that haven’t sold out yet…

Harewood FooD and Drink Seal1: Harewood Food & Drink Project X The Cross Keys
Harewood Food and Drink project’s new Executive Chef, Josh Whitehead is fashioning a five course celebration of the best seasonal produce the renowned estate has to offer. I’ve sampled what Josh does with the produce before and it was by far one of the best meals that I ate last year, so this is one not to miss – make sure you give the Greystone gin a try.

Friday 25th of May 7:30-11:30pm at The Cross Keys. Tickets are £35 for passport holders and £40 for general admission.

2: #Findtheforest
Forest Found (Beth Webber) and Josh Whitehead are collaborating at Skelton Grange Envrionmental Centre to bring an immersive forest feast – expect more of the best from the Harewood Estate and a truly one of a kind dining experience. Last year’s event sold out quickly so don’t miss out.

Saturday 19th, 7:30-11pm at Forest Found. Tickets are £36 for passport holders and £40 for general admission.

A bowl of chocolate from Tyto Leodis worksho3: Intro to Chocolate Making with Tyto Leodis Confectionery
I’m entirely biased here – I attended this workshop last year and it was one of my highlights from the festival. Over the course of the session you’ll partake in a chocolate tasting, learning about the different flavour profiles before a bit of science and then the opportunity to make two types of chocolates which you can take home. I went on my own and it was still such a fun time – I would thoroughly recommend this one to everyone.

Saturday 19th & Saturday 26th, 11am-1:30pm at Fabrication2. Tickets are £40 for passport holders and £45 for general admission.

4: Afsaneh’s Persian Supper Club
One of Leeds’ most coveted supper clubs, Afsaneh is set to take Leeds Indie Food by storm. Over the evening five courses will be served, offering up a true taste of Persian dining, in a communal setting including slow cooked stews that melt in the mouth and various rice dishes. There are two sittings in the fortnight so make sure you get yourself to one of them!

Saturday 12th and Saturday 26th, 7:30-11:30pm at a secret location. Tickets are £45.

Bundobust Paneer and Mushroom Tikka
5: Prashad x Bundobust x Ox Club

Prashad is a name said very much with hushed reverence, much praised for their sublime Indian cuisine. For LIF they are teaming up with Bundobust AND Ox Club to form some kind of holy vegetarian alliance. The three award winning kitchens are creating a five course, communal dining experience at Ox Club and it’s sure to be a smash!

Sunday 20th of May, 6-8:30pm at Ox Club. Tickets are £60 for passport holders and £65 for general admission.

That’s my pick of the events that you can still get #LIF18 tickets for – if you’re booked onto any events during the festival let me know! Don’t forget it’s also not too late to get your hands on a festival passport – across the fortnight this will net you discounts such as 20% off at Bundobust, free chips with every Patty Smith’s burger, 10% off at Latitude Wine and more.

Leeds Indie Food takes place across Leeds between the 10th and 28th of May. To view all events that still have tickets available for Leeds Indie Food 2018, as well as all the passport benefits visit the Event Genius page.
